About

A tactical, daily strategy: buy 3x bulls after sharp drops, switch to a volatility spike play when markets look overheated, otherwise favor 2x gold or defensive staples/bonds. Decisions use a short‑term “hot/cold” score (RSI).
NutHow it works
Daily it checks a 10‑day “hot/cold” score (RSI, 0–100). If semis/tech/market look washed out (very low RSI), it buys 3x bull funds (SOXL=semis, TQQQ=Nasdaq‑100, UPRO=S&P 500). If many areas look overheated (very high RSI), it buys UVXY (a 2x play on market fear/volatility). Otherwise, if gold is trending up it buys 2x gold (UGL); if not, it holds Consumer Staples (XLP) or a bond fund (VBF)—whichever looks more beaten down.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample upside is compelling: ~114.6% annualized return vs 16.6% for the S&P, higher risk-adjusted Sharpe (1.66 vs 1.39), negative beta, and Calmar 6.66—delivering stronger growth with caveat: higher drawdowns (~17% vs 5%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
