About

A daily, rules‑based strategy: buy sharp sell‑offs in tech/market via 3x ETFs, switch to VXX when markets look overheated to catch pullbacks, otherwise own global stocks in uptrends, or rotate to staples/bonds in downtrends. Uses RSI and a 200‑day trend filter.
NutHow it works
Each day it: 1) Buys 3x “dip plays” when short‑term momentum is washed out: SOXL (semiconductors), then TQQQ (Nasdaq‑100), then UPRO (S&P 500). RSI (0–100) gauges recent speed; low = just fell hard. 2) If many stock ETFs look overheated (high RSI), it buys VXX, which tends to jump when stocks wobble. 3) If neither, hold VT (global stocks) while the S&P is above its 200‑day average; otherwise pick staples (XLP) or bonds (VBF), whichever looks less stretched. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 12.1% annualized return with 11.5% max drawdown, Calmar ~1.05, and low beta ~0.23. A hedged dip-buy/rotation approach that diversifies portfolio risk and complements SPY’s profile with a steadier risk-adjusted footprint.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
