About
A daily market-timing strategy that usually owns tech-heavy QQQ, but switches to fear protection, bonds, or a bet against QQQ when markets look stretched or weak.
This strategy checks the market every day.
If the overall U.S. stock market looks healthy, it mostly owns QQQ, a fund packed with big tech-heavy companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, and Nvidia. If the market has run up too far too fast, it switches to VIXY, a fund that tends to rise when fear jumps.
If the market looks weak, it first looks for sharp selloffs that may bounce. If it doesn’t see that, it gets defensive by choosing either PSQ (which rises when QQQ falls) or TLT (long U.S. Treasury bonds).
Out-of-sample return: 28.8% vs 26.7% for the S&P; Calmar ~2.36 signals strong risk-adjusted upside. Nasdaq-100 tilt with volatility hedges aims for higher growth while managing downside better than the S&P.
