About
A rules-based strategy that usually buys QQQ after short-term market drops, but switches to SH when markets look too overheated or fear spikes and trend weakens.
This strategy is mostly a short-term rules system for deciding between two choices: owning QQQ (big tech/growth stocks) or owning SH (a fund that goes up when the S&P 500 falls).
It first looks for sharp recent drops in tech and the broad market using RSI, a score from 0 to 100 that measures how hard prices have risen or fallen lately. Very low RSI means “this fell a lot, fast,” so the strategy usually buys QQQ on those dips.
If markets instead look too hot or panic is rising, it checks longer-term trend and volatility. If conditions look unhealthy, it switches to SH as protection. Otherwise, it stays in QQQ.
A tactical Nasdaq-100 sleeve: mostly long QQQ, switching to SH on overheating or fear spikes. Diversifies a core S&P 500 and adds regime hedging. Note: out-of-sample results show underperformance vs SPY; use as a satellite allocation.
