About
A daily “buy the dip, avoid overheating” strategy: flee to volatility when big tech looks too hot, buy leveraged tech after sharp drops, otherwise rotate into the weakest of tech, staples, or corporate bonds.
Each day, the strategy checks how unusually strong or weak the Nasdaq-100 has been recently using a score called RSI. If tech stocks have surged too far too fast, it moves into VXX, a product that usually benefits when stock-market fear jumps.
If tech stocks have fallen hard, it buys TQQQ, a very aggressive 3x bullish Nasdaq fund, expecting a rebound.
If neither extreme is true, it buys whichever looks most beaten down among QQQ (big tech), XLP (consumer staples), or IGLB (high-quality corporate bonds).
Out-of-sample results show higher long-run returns and solid risk-adjusted performance vs the S&P: 24.2% vs 21.5% annualized, beta ~0.72, Calmar ~2.22. Slightly larger drawdowns are the price for bigger upside.
