About

A rule-driven “buy the dip, sell the rip” strategy for US stocks—especially tech. Uses trend (200‑day) and RSI to swing between 3x bull funds, inverse/volatility hedges, and short-term Treasuries, with occasional tilts to bonds, dollar, or gold.
NutHow it works
It’s a rules-based “buy the dip, sell the rip” timer. - Trend gate: If the S&P 500 (SPY) is above its 200‑day average, it’s risk‑on; below is risk‑off. - RSI: a hot/cold gauge of recent moves (over ~80 = overheated; under ~30 = washed‑out). - Short bursts/drops (1–6 days) also guide flips. Risk‑on: buy dips in 3x Nasdaq/tech/S&P (TQQQ, SOXL, TECL, UPRO/SPXL). Overheated/weak: rotate to hedges (SQQQ/SPXU) or VIX funds (UVXY/VIXY), or park in T‑bills (BIL/SHV/SHY/STIP). Sometimes tilts to Treasuries (TLT/IEF), dollar (UUP/UDN) or gold (UGL). High risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets higher upside: ~30.4% annualized vs SPY’s ~17.9%, with disciplined risk controls (trend, RSI, short-term moves) and tactical hedges. Expect substantial upside, but be aware of larger drawdowns (≈49%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
