About
A daily market-timing strategy that mostly bets on big US tech with leverage, moves to safe short-term Treasuries when tech looks overheated, and occasionally bets against tech in weak markets.
This strategy watches a leveraged fund tied to big tech stocks (QLD) every day.
If that fund has fallen hard recently, it buys it, expecting a bounce. If it has risen too fast, it moves into a very safe Treasury fund (SHV). Otherwise, it checks the market trend: if the broad US market looks healthy, it owns QLD; if the market looks weak and tech is slipping, it switches to PSQ, which rises when the Nasdaq falls.
Out-of-sample annualized return ~38% vs S&P ~17%, with Calmar ~1.15. A disciplined, leverage-enabled tech tilt with rules-based hedges aims for higher upside and solid risk-adjusted returns—though drawdowns can be larger in tech downturns.
