About

Aggressive, tactical switches between leveraged Nasdaq (QLD/QID) and leveraged Treasuries (TMF/TYD/TYO) using RSI-based overbought/oversold and momentum signals from tech vs utilities and bonds vs short S&P. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
Splits the portfolio between two rule sets. Uses RSI, a 0–100 gauge of recent buying vs selling. If tech (XLK) is very weak, buy 2x Nasdaq (QLD); if very hot, buy 2x inverse Nasdaq (QID). Otherwise rotate among leveraged Treasuries: TMF on short‑term oversold; TYD when bonds trend up; TYO when down. The second sleeve holds QLD unless bonds look weaker than shorting the S&P (BND 21‑day RSI < SH 63‑day), then hold TYO. A tech‑vs‑utilities check can switch QLD↔TYD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample ~21.04% annualized, roughly on par with the S&P (21.03%), but with higher drawdown (~25.6%) and lower Sharpe (~0.85). A two-sleeve rotation between leveraged Nasdaq and Treasuries targets regime shifts and diversification.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
