This strategy constantly asks one big question: are utility stocks acting stronger than technology stocks, or vice versa? If utilities look stronger, it assumes markets may be cautious and shifts toward defensive choices like utilities, Treasury bonds, cash-like funds, and hedges—while sometimes taking selective riskier trades. If technology looks stronger, it usually buys QQQ (a fund full of large tech-heavy companies). But if tech looks too hot too fast, it steps back and buys a basket of steadier utility and infrastructure stocks instead.
