About

Daily: if the consumer‑staples ETF XLP looks very overbought (10‑day RSI > 75), switch 100% into UVXY (a levered fear/volatility ETF). Otherwise hold BIL (T‑bills). A rare, high‑risk bet on near‑term volatility spikes; cash‑like when no signal.
NutHow it works
Each day it looks at XLP, an ETF of consumer‑staples stocks (Procter & Gamble, Coca‑Cola, Walmart, etc.). It checks a 10‑day RSI, a 0–100 heat gauge of recent up vs down days; above 75 = very hot. If XLP is that hot, it goes 100% into UVXY—an ETF that jumps when market fear spikes but usually falls fast. Otherwise it stays in BIL, a T‑Bill ETF (cash‑like). The bet: a staples “hot streak” may precede a volatility pop.
CheckmarkValue prop
Volatility-timing hedge: mostly cash-like BIL, flip to UVXY only on extremes to capture crisis spikes. Diversifies and can cushion the S&P during shocks, but out-of-sample data show high risk—use as a tactical hedge, not core equity.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
