About
A tech-led timing strategy: buy a 2x Nasdaq fund when tech looks healthy or oversold, short the Nasdaq when tech looks overheated, and hide in T-bills when defensive sectors are stronger than tech.
This strategy watches the tech sector as its main signal.
If tech has fallen hard very recently, it buys an aggressive fund that rises about 2x as much as the Nasdaq-100. If tech has surged too far too fast, it buys an aggressive fund that profits when the Nasdaq-100 falls.
When neither extreme is happening, it asks: is tech stronger than defensive sectors like consumer staples and utilities over the past 6 months? If yes, stay bullish. If not, move into short-term Treasury bills.
Capture higher upside with a tech-led timing strategy: oos return ≈ 29.8% vs 21.8% for the S&P, using leveraged Nasdaq exposure and risk-off cash. Diversified, regime-aware—though drawdowns are higher.
