About
A monthly, rules‑based stock strategy. If mega‑caps (XLG) are in an uptrend, rotate into the strongest growth/tech or broad‑market group. If not, rotate into the strongest defensive group (low‑vol, utilities, staples, dividends). Weights favor steadier names.
Each month, it checks if XLG (an ETF of the 50 biggest U.S. stocks) is above its 163‑day average (~8 months). If yes, it picks the single “offense” group with the strongest recent momentum (RSI): AI/mega‑cap tech, growth index ETFs, broad large‑cap ETFs, or defense contractors. If not, it picks the strongest “defense” group: low‑vol ETFs, utilities, staples, or dividend ETFs. Within the chosen group, it spreads across its holdings (steadier names can get more).
Regime-switching, momentum-tilt strategy that rides mega-cap leadership or defense regimes. Out-of-sample: Sharpe ~3.28 vs SPY ~0.96; annualized return ~80% vs ~11%; Calmar ~17.6 with ~4.5% max drawdown. Higher, clearer risk-adjusted growth with risk controls.
