About

A tactical, daily energy-sector strategy. Default is long XLE, but it shorts via DUG when prices look overheated, buys XLE on sharp dips, or moves to BIL when conditions are weak, using 50/200-day trends and RSI signals.
NutHow it works
It trades only the U.S. energy sector using three tickers: XLE (own energy stocks), DUG (an ETF that rises when energy falls), and BIL (T‑bills). First it checks trend (50‑ vs 200‑day averages). Then it uses RSI, a 0–100 “hot/cold” meter (high=overbought, low=oversold). Usually it holds XLE; if energy looks extremely hot it flips to DUG; in weak markets with no edge it parks in BIL. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Energy-sector tactical sleeve (XLE/DUG/BIL) aims to diversify and hedge via regime-driven trades. While OOS results lag SPY on return and risk, it can provide uncorrelated energy-cycle exposure for risk-tolerant portfolios.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
