About

A daily, tactical mix that tries to profit from panic and rebounds: it trades volatility (UVXY/SPXS) when fear spikes and buys semiconductor dips (SOXL) when deeply oversold, otherwise sitting in T‑bills.
NutHow it works
It runs two rules daily: a “volatility spike” trade and a “chip dip” trade. - If fear is hot (UVXY momentum high), it buys UVXY or SPXS depending on how fast UVXY just jumped; if too extreme, it parks in T‑bills. - If markets are calm, it only buys SOXL when semis look very oversold; otherwise stays in T‑bills.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~91% annualized return with ~0.01% max drawdown vs SPY’s ~50% return and 6.3% drawdown. Ultra-strong risk-adjusted profile (Calmar ~8331) from disciplined volatility timing and dip buys in semis.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
