This is an aggressive trading system that checks the market every day and picks whichever of several trading playbooks has been working best lately. Those playbooks mostly trade high-powered funds tied to US tech, semiconductors, and the S&P 500. If stocks look too overheated, it may buy a fear/volatility fund. If stocks look beaten down, it often buys the hardest-hit growth fund for a rebound. If conditions look bad, it can switch to bearish stock funds, Treasury bets, the US dollar, gold, or commodities.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
