A split strategy: one half stays defensive and tries to catch market panics, while the other half makes aggressive leveraged tech bets only when several bond and trend checks say conditions are favorable.

This strategy splits money into two halves. Half 1 is defensive: it usually sits in short-term bonds (BSV), but if the stock market looks stretched or panic is rising, it may switch to UVXY, a fund that jumps when fear spikes. Half 2 is aggressive: it only turns on after several bond-vs-tech safety checks. When active, it trades mainly TQQQ (3x Nasdaq), but may switch to TECL, UPRO, SQQQ, TLT, or UVXY depending on trend and whether markets look overheated or falling.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
