About

A single‑ETF, high‑risk, buy‑the‑dip rotation. It compares bonds (SCHZ) vs 3x small caps (URTY) using a quick momentum score to pick a bullish or bearish bucket, then buys the worst 4‑day performer in that bucket, betting on a short‑term bounce.
NutHow it works
Every ~3 weeks, it compares a bond fund (SCHZ) with a 3x small‑cap fund (URTY) using RSI, a 0–100 score of recent up/down moves (higher=recently up). If bonds score higher, it picks from bullish funds; otherwise from inverse funds. In that bucket, it buys the ETF that fell most over the last 4 days, aiming for a quick bounce. 100% goes into that one ETF. Very high risk due to leverage.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~30% annualized return vs S&P ~24%, with bigger upside in volatile markets. But it carries far higher risk: ~51% max drawdown and increased volatility. Best for aggressive, tactical allocators seeking alpha—not for buy-and-hold.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
