About

Tactical daily strategy: lean into leveraged tech/semis when conditions are favorable, and flip to inverse/volatility or bonds when they’re not. Uses RSI “hot/cold” readings plus bond, commodity, and dollar trend checks. Very high risk due to 2x/3x and VIX ETPs.
NutHow it works
Daily, rules-based. It watches: 1) RSI (a quick “hot/cold” meter of recent buying; high=overbought, low=oversold), 2) Treasury trends (BIL, IEI/IEF/TLH/SPTL), 3) commodities (DBC) and the US dollar (UUP). Risk-on/oversold → buys aggressive tech/semis (SOXL, TQQQ, TECL, UPRO). Overbought/risk-off → switches to inverse/volatility (SOXS, SQQQ, SPXS, UVXY) or bonds (TMF/TMV). It also rotates among ARK funds (ARKK, TARK, SARK). Usually picks 1 fund from a small menu by recent performance.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~85% annualized return vs SPY ~23.5%, Calmar ~1.92, and Sharpe ~1.39. Regime-driven tech/semis exposure with hedges when warranted. Note: drawdowns ~44%—higher risk, but compelling risk-adjusted upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
