About

A fast, daily, rule‑based strategy that rotates among leveraged stock plays (S&P 500/Nasdaq‑100/semis), volatility “fear” funds, defensive sectors, long Treasuries, the U.S. dollar, or inverse funds—using long‑term trend and 14‑day momentum signals. High risk.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks two things: • Trend: price vs its 200‑day average (long‑term direction). • A 14‑day “speedometer” (RSI) of how fast prices rose/fell. If bonds trend up: it leans risk‑on—buy a single pick from stocks/tech/semis unless prices look too hot (then buy a “fear” fund), or select a less‑stretched defensive area (utilities/real estate/long bonds). If bonds are weak: try a bounce if stocks look washed‑out; otherwise hold one protective pick (short stocks or the U.S. dollar).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy offers higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P 500 (Sharpe 1.33 vs 1.11, Calmar 1.65) via daily risk-on/off rotations across assets. Higher upside but larger drawdowns in stressed markets.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
