About
A rules‑based, daily rotation using 2x/3x ETFs. It uses long‑term trend (200‑day), short‑term “heat” (RSI), and a fear gauge (VIX) to flip between growth (S&P/Nasdaq/semis), defensive sectors/treasuries, volatility, or inverse/dollar hedges.
Daily, it reads a few gauges. 1) Bonds trend (BND vs 200‑day avg): if weak, hedge (short equity or strong USD) unless stocks are deeply oversold—then buy a rebound. 2) If bonds okay, check “fear” (VIXY RSI): if hot, own volatility (UVXY/VIXM). 3) Else, if S&P 500 is above its 200‑day: buy the least‑hot of SPXL/TQQQ/SOXL. If below: rotate into sectors/treasuries above trend; else default to S&P. RSI = 14‑day “heat” (>70 hot, <30 cold).
Out-of-sample, this strategy beats the S&P on risk-adjusted returns: Sharpe ~1.34 vs ~1.12, Calmar ~1.63, with upside from dynamic trend/volatility signals and leveraged ETFs. Drawdowns can be large in stressed markets.
