About

A daily, rule‑based switcher that flips between UVXY (volatility), leveraged tech longs (TECL), defensive staples/oil, or leveraged tech shorts (SQQQ/TECS) using simple “hot/cold” readings and the S&P 500’s 200‑day trend.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks a few simple signals: - If the Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) or S&P 500 (SPY) look “too hot,” it buys UVXY, a fund that often jumps when stocks fall. - If leveraged Nasdaq (TQQQ) looks “washed out,” it buys TECL (triple‑long tech). - If bonds (IEF) look stronger than the “short Nasdaq” fund (PSQ), it also buys TECL. - Otherwise, if SPY is above its 200‑day line, it splits between XLP (consumer staples) and the strongest of XLP/DBO (oil)/SCO (2x short oil). If SPY is below, it splits between SQQQ and TECS (both triple‑short tech).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~1.04 vs SPY ~0.99; annualized return ~61.6% vs 17.4%; alpha ~0.29; Calmar ~1.18. Stronger risk-adjusted growth from tactical volatility and tech exposure—though with higher drawdown (~52%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
