About

A daily, rule-based rotation that watches how “hot” stocks are (RSI), whether fear is rising (VIXY), and the market trend, then switches among tech longs/shorts, Treasuries, dollar, oil, gold, staples/healthcare—often holding some cash when markets look too hot.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks: 1) Heat (RSI) on big indexes; RSI is a 0–100 “heat gauge” of recent buying vs selling (high = very hot, low = washed out). 2) Fear (VIXY). 3) Trend (200‑day line). If very hot, it parks about half in the best of Treasuries (TMF), dollar (UUP), oil (USO), staples (XLP), healthcare (XLV)—picking two if fear is rising. Otherwise it may buy long Treasuries, bet on a tech rebound (TECL), go long tech (TQQQ), rotate to staples+oil/gold (DBO/GLD), or short tech (SQQQ, TECS).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe ~1.50, Calmar ~3.52, annualized return ~132% vs S&P ~17%. Despite larger drawdowns (~37% vs ~18%), disciplined rule-based rotations across tech, bonds, and commodities deliver superior risk-adjusted gains vs S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
