A very aggressive market-timing strategy: hide in T-bills during panic, buy sharp dips in stocks with leverage, bet on volatility after overheating, and otherwise rotate into a diversified trend-following mix.

This strategy first checks for market fear. If fear is very high, it moves to short-term Treasury bills (BIL). If not, it watches three aggressive stock areas: the broad U.S. market, big tech, and semiconductors. If one has dropped hard recently, it buys that area using a 3x leveraged fund. If one has become too overheated, it switches to UVXY, a fund that can rise when volatility spikes. If nothing looks extreme, it falls back to a diversified mix of dividend stocks, managed futures, healthcare stocks, long-term Treasuries, the U.S. dollar, and commodities, choosing among them based on which areas have had the stronger trends recently.

Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers about 23.6% annual return with smaller drawdowns (~18.1% vs 18.8% for the S&P) and solid risk-adjusted metrics (Calmar ~1.31), meaning more upside with controlled downside versus the S&P 500.
