About
A daily, rules‑based rotation: buy the hardest‑hit tech/growth ETFs when semiconductors are washed out; otherwise follow trend—own growth when the S&P 500 is rising, and park in T‑Bills when the market is hot or weak.
Each day:
- RSI = a short‑term heat gauge: under 30 = unusually sold off; over 70 = very hot.
1) If a chips fund (SMH) is washed out (10‑day RSI < 30), buy the two weakest recent performers among: SSO (2x S&P 500), ONEQ (Nasdaq), FTEC (Tech), SMH (Chips), IVW (S&P Growth) and split most of the portfolio between them.
2) Otherwise, if the market (SPY) is very hot (10‑day RSI > 70), sit in BIL (T‑Bills).
3) Otherwise, if the S&P 500 (VOO) is in a long‑term uptrend (price > 200‑day average), hold VUG (US Growth). If not, hold BIL.
Diversified, rules-based growth tilt with a risk overlay. Out-of-sample return ~10.3% with Sharpe ~0.51 and Calmar ~0.44, plus a risk-off hedge in hot markets. Tech/semis exposure that complements SPY rather than chasing it.
