About
A tactical US‑stock strategy: buy growth/tech when the market trend is up, sit in T‑bills when it’s hot or weak, and occasionally “buy the dip” by picking the worst recent performer when semiconductors look washed out.
1) If the semiconductor fund (SMH) has fallen hard recently, buy the single worst recent performer among: VTI (total US market), ONEQ (Nasdaq), XLK (tech), SMH (semis), or IVW (S&P 500 growth).
2) Otherwise, if the S&P 500 looks overheated, hold BIL (T‑bills). If the S&P 500 is in a long uptrend, hold VUG (growth). If not, hold BIL.
Dynamic rotation between growth/tech and cash aims to capture upside in uptrends while reducing risk in overheating markets. Out-of-sample Calmar ~0.83 and positive risk-adjusted return offer a ballast to SPY with growth potential.
