About

A risk‑on/risk‑off switch that holds only four ETFs: short volatility in calm uptrends (SVXY), hide in a defensive market‑neutral fund (BTAL) or cash (BIL) when markets look overheated or jumpy, and occasionally tilt to energy (XLE).
NutHow it works
It only owns 4 ETFs: BTAL (defensive, market‑neutral), SVXY (profits when volatility falls), XLE (energy stocks), and BIL (cash‑like T‑bills). It reads “thermometers” (SPY, UVXY, TQQQ, etc.) to judge trend, heat (RSI: a 0–100 speedometer), and turbulence. If things look frothy or jumpy, it moves to BTAL or BIL. If calm and trending up, it favors SVXY. In downtrends it prefers BTAL/cash, and at times adds XLE when energy leads.
CheckmarkValue prop
Adaptive 4-ETF rotation: profit in calm markets, protect in turbulence. OOS: ~20.85% annualized vs S&P ~23.45%, drawdown 12.71% vs 18.76%, Calmar 1.64, Sharpe 1.22. Safer, disciplined upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
