About

A daily, 5-sleeve, short-term contrarian system. It checks whether bonds or stocks look stronger lately, then buys the most beaten-down leveraged funds (or inverse funds) for a quick bounce. Uses very volatile ETFs; high risk.
NutHow it works
Each day it runs 5 quick checks comparing recent strength of bonds vs stocks over 10–15 days (RSI: a 0–100 ‘heat’ score; higher=stronger). It then buys the worst 4‑day performer (a short‑term bounce bet) from a preset list. If bonds look stronger → 1 bullish fund (e.g., TECL=3x tech, UPRO=3x S&P, TMF=3x Treasuries). If stocks look stronger → 1–2 bearish funds (PSQ=short Nasdaq, DRV=short real estate, YANG=short China). Rebalances daily; very risky.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~60.5% vs S&P's ~20.7%, with Calmar ~1.33 and Sharpe ~1.13, enabled by 5 fast-moving sleeves and a disciplined mean-reversion tilt. Higher upside but larger drawdowns (~45%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
