About

A daily, rules‑based “go fast or hide” strategy. It rides strong tech uptrends with 3x funds (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL/SPXL) and quickly flips to hedges (UVXY/VIX, Treasuries, cash‑like T‑Bills, USD, gold, dividend/defensive ETFs) when fear or rate signals turn.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: are stocks (especially tech) heating up or cooling off, did prices just jump or plunge, is fear rising, and are bonds trending up or down? If trends look healthy and fear is falling, it buys high‑octane tech/semis/S&P funds (e.g., TQQQ, TECL, SOXL, SPXL). If risk spikes (big drops, very “hot” readings, rising fear), it shifts to hedges: volatility (UVXY/VIXY/VIXM), Treasuries (TMF/TMV/TLT), cash‑like T‑Bills (BIL), the U.S. dollar (USDU/UUP), gold (GLD), or defensive/dividend funds (SCHD, DGRO, XLP/XLU).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return ~35.92% vs SPY ~16.9%; Sharpe 1.14 vs 0.94; Calmar 1.85. This momentum/tech-rotation strategy aims for stronger upside with disciplined hedging, improving risk-adjusted returns versus the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
