This strategy is a “strategy of strategies.” It watches several market clues each day—like whether tech is beating utilities, whether stocks are above trend, and whether fear is rising. Then it picks from six mini-playbooks and shifts money into aggressive funds when conditions look good, or into defensive assets like Treasury bills, utilities, gold, or bonds when conditions look bad. Many of its favorite holdings are leveraged funds, which can move much more than the normal stock market in either direction.
