About

Rules-based trend portfolio. In good trends it leans into leveraged U.S. stock funds; when signals fade it rotates to Treasuries, cash, or volatility hedges. Adds sleeves for gold, energy, commodities, and the U.S. dollar when those trends are strong.
NutHow it works
It’s a bundle of simple trend rules. When price trends look healthy and gains outrun losses (RSI), it rides growth-heavy U.S. stocks with leveraged funds (TQQQ, UPRO, SPXL, QLD). When trends weaken, it shifts to safer assets—Treasuries (TLT/IEF/TYD/TMF), cash-like T‑bills (SHV/BIL), or volatility hedges (UVXY/VIXM). Separate sleeves turn on energy (XLE), gold (GLD), broad commodities (DBC/DBO), and the U.S. dollar (UUP) only when their own trends are strong.
CheckmarkValue prop
Trend-rotation strategy with built-in risk controls: oos return 10.42%, max drawdown 12.05% vs SPY 18.76%, beta ~0.40, Calmar 0.86. Diversified sleeves target steadier, risk-adjusted gains and downside protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
