About

A rules-based mix that trades volatility and tech. It uses an RSI “hot/cold” read to go long or short VIX via VXZ/UVXY/ZVOL, and toggles between TQQQ, SQQQ, GLD, or cash-like PULS. Goal: profit from swings while using mid-term VIX to temper spikes.
NutHow it works
RSI = a 'hot/cold' meter (0–100). Three sleeves: 1) 35%: If SPY’s RSI is very low (<25), own ZVOL (benefits if volatility calms). If very high (>80), own VXZ (benefits if volatility jumps); otherwise PULS. 2) 15%: If parts of the market look too hot, own VXZ. After a sharp tech drop (~-12%/6d), switch to ZVOL unless there’s an immediate rebound; else PULS. 3) 50%: If QQQ/SPY are very hot, own UVXY (plus some PULS). If oversold or tech beats KMLM, own TQQQ; else split SQQQ and GLD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Volatility-driven, rules-based strategy diversifies the S&P 500 with mid-term VIX exposure and tactical tilts. Seeks to dampen spikes and capture volatility rebounds for risk-tolerant investors. Note: OOS performance was negative.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
