About

A daily, rules-based “risk on/risk off” system: ride tech-heavy uptrends with leveraged ETFs; when markets get too hot or turn down, shift fast into hedges (volatility, cash-like T‑bills, gold, dollar) and flip long/short Treasuries based on rate trends.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks the market’s “temperature” and trend across big areas: S&P 500, Nasdaq/tech/semis, and long‑term Treasuries. - If trends look healthy and not overheated, it owns growth/tech using high‑octane funds (like 3x Nasdaq/tech/semis). - If things look overheated or sliding, it hedges or goes defensive: volatility funds (VIX), short‑term T‑bills, gold, the U.S. dollar, or inverse stock funds. - For bonds, it flips between owning long Treasuries and shorting them depending on rate trends. It blends many small rule sets and favors the ones that recently delivered good returns with lower choppiness.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: higher risk-adjusted return (Sharpe 1.84 vs 1.16), far lower drawdown (7.5% vs 18.8%), beta ~0.39, Calmar 2.63. Comparable upside with a smoother ride vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
