About

A three‑mode switch: long volatility (UVXY) when QQQ looks overheated, aggressive tech (TQQQ) when QQQ looks washed out, and a defensive mix (IEI, GLD, UUP, SCHD) otherwise—using QQQ’s 10‑day RSI as the on/off dial. High risk when in leveraged funds.
NutHow it works
It watches a 10‑day “speedometer” of QQQ (a big tech‑heavy index fund). If QQQ looks very hot (RSI ≥ 80), it switches 100% to UVXY, a fund that jumps when market volatility spikes. If QQQ looks very cold (RSI ≤ 31), it goes 100% into TQQQ, a triple‑speed version of QQQ. Otherwise, it splits evenly across Treasuries (IEI), gold (GLD), the U.S. dollar (UUP), and dividend‑paying U.S. stocks (SCHD). Trades only when the signal changes.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this tri-mode strategy delivers higher risk-adjusted upside vs SPY: ~39% annualized return vs ~22%, Calmar ~1.63, plus a defensive core and crash hedge via UVXY with rebound capture via TQQQ.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
