This strategy splits money across several mini-strategies and checks the market every day. When markets look calm and trends are strong, it leans into aggressive funds tied to tech stocks or long-term bonds. When markets look shaky, overheated, or crash-prone, it shifts toward safer areas like short-term Treasuries, gold, the U.S. dollar, consumer staples, and a defensive stock fund. It also has a special crash sleeve that may buy volatility funds during panic.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
