About

A daily swing‑trader that buys volatility into likely stock pullbacks, shorts it in calm periods, or rotates between tech (TQQQ), Treasuries (TMF/TMV), USD (UUP) and cash‑like T‑bills, using simple overbought/oversold signals and bond trends.
NutHow it works
Each day it reads simple “heat” gauges (RSI = 0–100 speed of recent moves). If the S&P 500 looks very hot (RSI>72), it buys volatility funds (UVXY/UVIX/VIXM) that usually jump when stocks drop. If bonds look steadier than cash, it shorts volatility (SVXY). Otherwise it uses bond trends to hold either tech + long Treasuries (TQQQ/TMF) or a defensive mix (USD = UUP, short long‑bonds = TMV), with cash‑like BIL/SHY as safety. Uses risk‑based sizing; very aggressive.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~38% annualized return vs S&P ~21%, with beta ~0.49 and a Calmar ~1.29—strong risk-adjusted upside. Note higher drawdowns (~29%) due to aggressive volatility hedges and trend-based rotations.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
