About

Rules-based, daily strategy: ride strong tech/semis in uptrends, swiftly move to cash/bonds/gold/managed futures (KMLM) and volatility hedges when risk rises. Aim: growth with smaller drawdowns than buy-and-hold.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: are stocks strong or fragile? It measures recent gains, trends vs moving averages, and RSI (a 0–100 score of how fast price moved; high=hot, low=washed‑out). If strong, it leans into tech/semis (QQQ/XLK/SOXX; sometimes TQQQ/SOXL). If weak or overheated, it shifts to T‑Bills (BIL/SHV), Treasuries (TLT/IEF), gold (GLD/UGL), market‑neutral BTAL, and KMLM (a managed‑futures fund that follows trends in commodities/currencies/rates). It can hedge with VIX funds (UVXY/UVIX). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this rules-based strategy targets ~22.1% annual return with a Calmar ~6.8, offering superior risk-adjusted performance and diversification (negative beta) versus the S&P 500, plus hedges and disciplined drawdown control.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
