About

A daily, rules‑based “trend and dip‑buy” system. In uptrends it hedges if markets look too hot, plays defense if very strong, or goes aggressive with 3x tech/US stocks plus short‑vol. In downtrends it buys oversold dips or flips short using a bonds‑vs‑fear signal.
NutHow it works
Daily, it first asks: is SPY above its 200‑day average (long‑term uptrend)? If yes: when the last ~2 weeks look overheated, it hedges with a VIX “fear” fund (UVXY). When merely strong, it holds one defensive leader (TLT, UUP, VIXY, XLP, SPLV). Otherwise it goes risk‑on: 2/3 in the 3 strongest 3x tech/US stock funds + 1/3 short‑vol (SVXY). If SPY is below: it buys oversold dips (TECL/SOXL/UPRO); if no dip, it flips between long QQQ and short QQQ (PSQ/SQQQ) based on whether TLT beats SQQQ.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe 2.30 vs SPY 2.20; alpha ~0.25%; annualized return ~118% vs 27%; Calmar ~6.22. A regime-aware, trend-following system that hedges in heat and leans into tech leadership for superior risk-adjusted growth (with higher drawdowns).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
