About

Rules-based, daily rotation among leveraged ETFs: ride tech in uptrends (TQQQ), hedge when conditions are too hot (UVXY), and in downtrends try oversold rebounds (TECL/UPRO); otherwise go defensive with volatility, short tech (SQQQ), or bonds (BSV).
NutHow it works
Daily check. 1) If the S&P 500 is above its 200‑day average (uptrend), hold TQQQ (3x tech). If the tape looks very “hot,” flip briefly to UVXY (volatility). 2) If below (downtrend), buy quick rebounds (TECL/UPRO) when very “cold”; else ride fear (UVXY). If no edge, either short tech (SQQQ) or hide in short‑term bonds (BSV). It uses a heat meter (RSI, 0–100) and trend lines (20/50/200‑day).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~68.6% annualized return vs ~24.7% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.37. A rules-based rotation into leveraged tech with hedges aims for big upside, but drawdowns can reach ~50% (vs ~19% for the S&P).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
