About

A tactical ETF strategy that rides tech when trends are healthy and flips to safety or hedges when markets overheat or weaken. Uses simple “hot/cold” (RSI), trend, and volatility checks to switch among leveraged tech, T‑Bills, gold, dollar, market‑neutral, and inverse funds.
NutHow it works
RSI = a simple “hot/cold” score (0–100). First it checks the S&P 500 and Treasuries. If trends are healthy and not overheated, it goes Risk‑On: 3x tech/semis (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL) and sometimes short‑vol (SVIX). If overheated or breaking, it goes Risk‑Off: T‑Bills (BIL/SHV), gold (GLD), US dollar (USDU), market‑neutral (BTAL), inverse equity/bond funds (SQQQ/SOXS, TYO/TMV), or long‑vol (VXX/UVXY). It flips using RSI, trend vs averages, and big‑move triggers.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return: 30.6% vs SPY 25.9%. Tactical tech leadership with risk-off hedges aims for higher upside; note larger drawdowns (~38%). Smart risk controls seek durable growth vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
