This strategy checks the market every day. First it asks: is the U.S. stock market (SPY, a stand-in for the S&P 500) in a healthy long-term uptrend? It does that by comparing today’s SPY price to its 200-day average price. If yes, it usually picks 2 funds from a mixed list of aggressive stock funds and safer assets. Oddly, it picks the 2 that have been the weakest lately, looking for a bounce. But if hot growth funds like TQQQ or SPXL have run up too far, it switches to UVXY, a very aggressive bet that market fear could spike. If no, it becomes defensive and tactical. It may buy a beaten-down tech or S&P 500 fund for a rebound, buy SQQQ to profit if the Nasdaq falls, hold UVXY during market panic, or move into short-term bonds when conditions look shaky.
