About

A daily, high‑octane swing strategy. It checks long‑term trend (risk‑on/off), then uses a simple hot/cold score (RSI) to fade rips and buy dips, mostly in 3x tech/semis or VIX funds. It sometimes bets on rates, the dollar, or commodities. Very risky.
NutHow it works
1) Set the backdrop: check long‑term trends in bonds (TLT vs its 200‑day) and stocks (SPY 210‑ vs 360‑day). That picks offense or defense. 2) Time entries with RSI, a 0–100 “hot/cold” meter: >70 = overheated, <30 = washed‑out. It fades rips (often buys UVXY/VIXY) and buys dips (TECL/TQQQ/SOXL). 3) Picks the exact ETF by very recent returns (3–12 days). Adds TMF/TMV when yields move, and shifts to cash/gold/dollar or inverse ETFs if commodities swing more. Trades daily; very aggressive. Examples: TQQQ/SOXL (3x tech/semis), SQQQ/SOXS (3x inverse), UVXY/VIXY/SVXY (VIX), TMF/TMV (long bonds), GLD (gold), UUP (US$).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~55.7% annualized return vs ~20.8% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.13. A regime-driven, daily tactical approach aims big gains in tech/volatility cycles, while accepting higher drawdowns in risk-off periods.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
