About

A daily, high‑octane, semiconductor‑centric strategy. It rides tech uptrends with 3x ETFs (SOXL/TQQQ) but flips to volatility (UVXY) or inverse funds (SOXS/SQQQ) when markets look overheated or weak, guided by simple “hot/cold” and trend checks.
NutHow it works
Every day it checks two things: 1) Is the market “hot” or “cold” now? If too hot, it buys volatility (UVXY). If too cold, it buys the strongest tech/semis (often SOXL/TECL). 2) Is the longer trend up or down? In downtrends or stress (bonds/commodities signals), it flips to inverse funds (SOXS/SQQQ), Treasuries (TMF/TMV), cash‑like T‑Bills, or commodity/dollar plays. Otherwise it rides momentum in semis/tech.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~59.6% annualized return vs SPY ~24%; max drawdown ~49% vs ~19%; Calmar ~1.22. Levered semis/tech with trend hedging aims bigger upside while controlling risk vs the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
