This strategy checks the market every day and makes an all-in bet on whatever looks best for that moment. Usually it trades very aggressive funds tied to tech, chip stocks, the broad U.S. market, volatility, or bonds. If stocks look overheated, it may bet on a pullback or rising fear. If stocks look badly beaten down, it may buy the most beaten-up growth fund for a rebound. Bond and commodity trends help it decide whether to be aggressive or defensive.

Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
