An aggressive market-timing strategy that rotates between leveraged tech, crash hedges, volatility funds, bonds, dollar, and gold based on trend, “overheated” signals, and short-term rebounds.

This strategy constantly asks: is the market in a healthy uptrend or a weak/downtrend? If stocks look strong, it usually leans into leveraged technology funds. If markets look overheated or shaky, it can switch into hedges that profit from falling stocks or rising volatility, plus safer areas like short-term bonds, TIPS, the U.S. dollar, or gold. It uses RSI as a “hot vs. cold” gauge: very high RSI means an asset has run up fast; very low RSI means it has fallen fast. The strategy uses that to either fade overheated markets or buy beaten-down assets.

Out-of-sample edge: ~48% annualized return vs ~21% for the S&P, with Calmar ~1.32. Drawdowns ~37%. Higher upside with disciplined regime switching and hedges; accept larger swings for bigger long-term gains.
