About

Rules-based, monthly plan with an “emergency brake.” Bond trends toggle between leveraged growth ETFs in good times and hedges (inverse stocks, Treasury trades, energy, USD, gold/cash) in bad times. A small rotator sleeve adds diversification.
NutHow it works
Monthly with an emergency brake. If the S&P 500 drops sharply (~10 days), it shifts to safe‑havens/hedges (long Treasuries, inverse equity). Otherwise it compares bonds over ~3 months: if total bonds (BND) beat short‑term (BSV) → Risk ON (leveraged tech/semis/S&P/financials). If not → Risk OFF; a long‑Treasury trend picks hedges (rising‑rate: short Treasuries, energy, USD, stock shorts; falling‑rate: gold miners, cash). RSI (0–100) ranks picks. A 20% sleeve rotates one ETF monthly.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~43% annualized returns vs SPY’s ~24%, powered by a rules-based risk-on/risk-off framework with an emergency brake and hedges that seek upside while protecting on downturns. Expect larger drawdowns in stressed markets (≈47%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
