About

A daily, rules‑based switcher between offense (leveraged tech like TQQQ/SOXL) and defense (SQQQ/UVXY, Treasuries, dollar, gold) using a 200‑day trend filter, short‑term “temperature” (RSI), and buy‑the‑dip/sell‑the‑rip triggers. High risk due to leverage.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: is the S&P 500 (SPY) above its 200‑day average? - Yes: ride tech (TQQQ) unless it looks too hot; then briefly hedge with SQQQ or UVXY. - No: run “buy the dip/sell the rip”: after sharp drops buy TQQQ/SOXL; after sharp pops hedge. It also tests bonds (TLT), the dollar (UUP/UDN), and gold (UGL) as safer holds. RSI is a short‑term “temperature” from 0–100; high=hot, low=cold. Uses leveraged/inverse ETFs; high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~70% annualized return vs SPY ~20%, with Sharpe ~1.23 and Calmar ~1.64. It blends leveraged tech exposure with tactical hedges for higher growth, albeit with larger drawdowns (~43%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
