About

Daily, rules-based switcher: ride tech/semis with 3x funds in uptrends; hedge or flip short when markets get “hot” or drop fast; park in T‑bills/bonds, the dollar, or commodities when risk rises. Uses RSI, trend, and volatility spikes (UVIX) to time moves.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: 1) Are US stocks in an uptrend (SPY above its 200‑day avg)? 2) Are prices “hot” or “cold” (RSI = 0–100 heat score)? 3) Is fear spiking (VIX/UVXY)? 4) Are commodities leading? In uptrends it rides 3x tech/semis (TQQQ, SOXL, plus SPXL/UPRO). If overheated or fear jumps, it briefly buys UVIX (a “fear” fund) as a hedge. On sharp drops/weak trends it shifts to bear funds (SQQQ, SPXS, SOXS), T‑bills (BIL), bonds (AGG/TMF), the US dollar (USDU), or commodities (DBC). Rebalanced daily. 3x funds are very volatile.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: higher upside (26.1% vs 23.3% for SPY) with positive alpha. It rides tech/semis on uptrends, and hedges with volatility, cash/bonds, or commodities to protect during fear spikes. Strong growth with risk-managed discipline.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
