About

A daily‑rebalance, rule‑based system that blends leveraged equity bets (QQQ, TQQQ, SOXL, SPXL, UPRO) with volatility hedges (UVIX/UVXY, SQQQ) and safe assets (BIL, USDU, AGG) using momentum and trend signals. It aims to grow during uptrends while protecting against volatility spikes, by rotating among Bull/Hedge modules and selecting the strongest signals each day.
NutHow it works
It runs every day and uses a chain of if‑then rules to decide which assets to buy, hold, or sell. Signals include momentum measures (RSI, moving averages) and relative strength tests. When markets look strong, it tilts toward levered equity bets like TQQQ (3x tech), SOXL (3x semiconductors), SPXL/UPRO (broad market). When risk rises or momentum turns negative, it shifts into hedges (UVIX/UVXY for volatility, SQQQ/SPXS for bear bets, USDU/AGG/BIL for safety), or into cash. It also uses top/bottom sort logic to pick the strongest/subsets of assets and allocates weights (sometimes cash) within a risk budget. The overall intent is to harvest upside during favorable regimes while containing drawdowns with hedges and safe assets. It is a complex, rule‑driven framework rather than a simple buy‑and‑hold.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~26.1% annualized return vs S&P 23.3%, built from a disciplined, rule-based mix of leveraged equity bets and hedges. Daily rebalancing targets uptrends while dampening risk, though crises can bring large drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
