About

A daily, rules‑based system focused on tech and semiconductors. It buys 3x bull ETFs in uptrends, flips to 3x bear ETFs when things look overheated, and uses bonds and volatility to decide when to play offense, hedge, or sit in Treasuries. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
1) Read the backdrop: use Treasuries and volatility to judge risk-on vs. risk-off. 2) Offense: when conditions are healthy and tech/chips are strong, buy 3x bull ETFs (SOXL/TECL/HIBL). 3) Extremes: fade big one‑day pops or overbought readings with 3x bear ETFs (SOXS/TECS/HIBS). 4) Defense: if stress rises, shift to Treasuries/cash or hedge with VXX. Rebalance daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~65% annualized return with Calmar ~1.79 and Sharpe ~1.07 vs S&P ~24% return. Expect higher volatility and drawdowns (~37%), but potentially far larger upside when tech/semis lead.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
