About

A daily, rules-based swing strategy around tech and semiconductors. It buys 3x bulls in uptrends, flips to 3x bears or volatility on overbought spikes, and uses bond and cash signals to hedge or park in safety. High risk, very active.
NutHow it works
Each day it decides between three ideas: ride tech/semis, fade extremes, or play defense. It uses RSI (a 0–100 “heat” score for how stretched prices are), short-term return spikes, and bond/cash signals. If tech/semis trend up and aren’t overheated, it owns 3x bulls (SOXL/TECL/HIBL). If they’re overbought, it briefly flips to 3x bears or VXX. Bond signals choose TMF (falling rates), TMV (rising rates), or cash-like T‑bills.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~66% annualized return vs SPY’s ~24%, aided by trend-following tech/semis and hedges. Expect higher upside but larger drawdowns (36.6% vs 18.8%), with Calmar ~1.80 signaling favorable risk-adjusted performance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
